Blue Hippo Artists was a project many years in the making, and our retreat in the Northwest was our maidan voyage. For 2 1/2 weeks, artists from across the US (and Canada) came to draw and paint and share with us their unique and wonderful selves. There were rivers and waterfalls, rose gardens and farmland, a vibrant city and quiet suburbs—we took it all in and couldn’t have asked for anything more.
